Opens Oct 12: "Gas and Candles" by David Henry Wilson
A Co-Production between Gorilla Theatre and Revolve Theatre Company
ABOUT THE PLAY
When you are part of the forgotten mass labeled Senior Citizens, what can you do to attract attention and perhaps a sandwich or two? People may possibly pay attention if some sort of revolutionary were holding you hostage. That's the plan set in motion by Frank and Marlene, played by Richard Coppinger (The Seafarer, American Stage Theatre Co.) and Elizabeth Fendrick (Dead Man's Cell Phone, Jobsite Theater). Set in London, this comedy follows the couple's crafty plan that draws in the police and the neighborhood and results in an unexpected outcome. Along with off center comedy there is the underlying attention given to the plight of the elderly couple a theme that never seems to go out of date. Also starring Greg Milton. Directed by Chris Jackson.
The Daily Telegraph wrote, "Its theme digs into the imagination and stays there long after the play is over," while the critic from The Guardian wrote, "Comedy explodes from the smallest incident."
Gas and Candles is a coproduction between the Gorilla Theatre and Revolve Theatre Company.
* Gas and Candles replaces our previously-advertised October production.
